Review:

What is there to say, other than; ‘Julian of Macedon, Julian of Macedon, Julian of Macedon’.
In the book store I found these books in the ‘romance’ section and true, there is a ‘lot of lovin’’ going on in the books. But it is so perfectly combined with Greek mythology that it isn’t just a romance novel. I really enjoyed the book, it was a great read. Your immediately right in the story that takes place in New Orleans, which in my opinion could be more described because I’ve never been there so have no idea what it looks like. But she makes up for all of that with the descriptions of the characters. From the lean, muscled Julian, the Spartan commander, to doctor Grace Alexander and her ‘somewhat odd’ friend Selena (whose motto is: Life is short. Dance naked).

I love the way Kenyon combines the modern world with ancient Greece, she brings the Gods back to life in such a way to want to convert and hail Zeus. The characters are hot, funny and so very believable, they are all so human. Emotions run high and you’ll get sucked in their story.
